Vision

The new form of urban mobility
Clayton Bikes stands for a new form of urban mobility. Since 2022, we have been developing e-bikes that impress with their light weight, minimalism, and sophisticated design. Our team of bicycle and design enthusiasts has a clear goal: mobility should not only be functional, but also stylish. Our bikes combine functionality and state-of-the-art technology with timeless elegance.
Our models also impress with their intuitive, simple handling and a very natural, dynamic riding experience. Lightweight, slim, powerful, and hardly recognizable as an e-bike at first glance.
History

Born in Hamburg
Driven by a passion for bicycles and product design, we developed our first generation of urban e-bikes, Clayton O1, in 2022. Initially sold only in our store in Hamburg, the bike quickly gained popularity among urban cyclists who value sleek, timeless aesthetics, low weight, and simplicity of use. From the very beginning, we have taken a stand against the edgy and futuristic design language of many current e-bikes on the market.
After two years of successful market presence and an intensive development phase in collaboration with a team of developers from Portugal and the Netherlands, we launched the Clayton O2 in the summer of 2025.
Clayton O2

New generation. New features. Proven design.
The new Clayton O2 model series was launched in Germany a few weeks ago—also available as a classic comfort version with low step-through frame and with a super convenient removable battery. As with the previous model, we rely on our own design paired with components from leading manufacturers such as Shimano and Gates to guarantee the highest quality and maximum durability.
The latest innovations from the bicycle market include the dual-speed motor from Bafang® and lighting from LightSkin®, which are integrated into the Clayton O2 alongside other high-tech components. Assembly and quality control are now carried out in Portugal. From 2026, we will be offering test rides in several major cities in Germany and expanding into Denmark later this year.
Assembled in Portugal
All our models are assembled in Portugal to the highest European standards, using state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and comprehensive quality testing. Short transport routes also ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
